Key Energy Services is currently expanding oil and gas operations within the state of North Dakota to take advantage of recent oil discoveries. Overview New driver-technicians attend 3-4 weeks of paid training and orientation in Texas before beginning a fulltime position at one of Key Energy Services' North Dakota facilities. For new employees relocating to North Dakota from other areas, Key Energy Services will provide paid housing for the first ninety days as well as relocation expenses. Driver-technicians haul and dispose of oilfield chemicals and by-products such as fresh water, brine water, produced waters, and mud products, using a straight truck or tractor-trailer. The typical workday involves loading and unloading the tank-truck via operation of intake and discharge valves, completing work tickets, maintaining daily inventory of tools, fittings and hose connections, and performing safety inspections. Key Energy Services operates the 18th largest fleet in the US and all equipment is newer. Driver-technicians work 10-12 hour per day, averaging 6 loads per day, and work 6 consecutive days, followed by 2 days off. All loads fall within a 50-mile radius of terminal and driver-technicians are home every day. Average start times are 6-8 am and 6-8 pm, with both day and night shifts. Paid overtime is required. Starting driver-technicians earn $71,000 - $84,000 per year.
