Initially, in addition to the general duties listed below, the Transportation Supervisor will perform a minimum of 3 pulls a day. General duties include: ? Manage and administer the facility truck fleet by selecting drivers, equipment, dispatching, and performing maintenance, achieve expected service levels and manage costs. ? Prepare work schedules to obtain optimum utilization of personnel and equipment while adhering to DOT laws. ? Analyzes customer needs, develops and implements changes to improve service to customers in the most cost efficient manner. ? Investigates causes of incidents/accidents and develops safety measures for preventing further occurrences. ? Participate in budget process. ? Other duties as assigned. Qualifications ? 3-5 years experience as Lead Driver and/or Supervisor within a transportation environment, preferably in a service industry. ? Transportation/Fleet Service experience, which includes customer processing, route delivery procedures and basic security and operational procedures. ? Strong organizational, verbal and written skills. ? Knowledge of business processes such as profit and loss, profit margins, accounting, and other related principles. ? Understanding and ability to manage Federal, State and Local DOT requirements. ? Proficient with MS Office and comfortable learning new technology. ? Must possess a valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record. In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate will have a technical background as a Diesel Mechanic with previous experience working in a service environment.

The Operations Manager provides leadership for the customer's Memphis location. Manages the areas of compliance, system(s) integrity, service reporting, employee welfare & benefits, payroll, billing and various other responsibilities including accounts receivables and payables. Performs complex and technical duties requiring knowledge of Greatwide computer applications such as TMW, McLeod, Qualcomm and Peoplenet. And also, knowledgeable of Federal Motor Carrier Rules & Regulations and other applicable state / federal laws. Works independently, using sound judgment in making decisions and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Completes various standard reports and ad hoc reports accurately and on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interact with the company drivers, region safety and capacity management, as well as the local customer staff. Engage all drivers at the location in the compliance process and safety awareness. Support location with Hours of Service compliance initiatives. Implement and manage Hours of Service audit process that drives accountability to ensure compliance with Greatwide requirements as well as applicable federal, state and local regulations. Complete audits of driver qualification files prior to hiring of driver to ensure compliance with Greatwide policies and applicable federal regulations. Confirm in-process of new employees in various systems using information from capacity management. Meet with new employees to assist with questions. Maintain and support technology tools, including managing system integrity and productivity; Greatwide i.e. TMW, McLeod, Qualcomm and Peoplenet. Work with benefits department to assist in the administration of employee benefit programs to include health, vision, dental, retirement and other employee programs. Answer employees' general questions with regard to benefits, retirement, personnel policies, standard operating procedures, payroll and other human resources related concerns. Generate payroll and ensure timely processing. Check payroll reports for accuracy, corrects errors immediately and compiles / completes required payroll reports. Generate billing and review to ensure accuracy, timely completion of all reports and requirements. Confer with direct reports to resolve procedural problems using root cause analysis methods. Review and correct customer accounts receivable issues and comply with Greatwide's receivables goal. Facilitate monthly safety meeting with drivers. Daily contact with the Customer and the Customer's traffic and accounting departments via phone call or in person when visiting (not in email form) to discuss feedback and future operations planning.
