 1.      JOB SUMMARY:General coordination of all transportation services for clients attending PATH day programs, including scheduling of transportation runs, scheduling vehicles for day program use (i.e., group trips), maintaining all agency vehicles, driving for day program, daily mail pick-up, scheduling hours and supervising part-time drivers. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1.         Coordination of transportation services for CLA clients attending PATH day programs.2.         Scheduling client transportation to and from programs.3.         Scheduling vehicles for maximum use (i.e., group trips).4.         Train all drivers in vehicle upkeep and safe driving.5.         Assure “Driver Handoff” policy is followed by all drivers to assure client safety.6.         Assure that proper first aid kits are contained in each vehicle.7.         Assure that all seat belts are operational in each vehicle and that drivers insist on their usage each trip.8.         Assure actual hands-on driving instruction to drivers in various programs using the 15 passenger vans or handicapped lift vehicles.9.         Assure that all incidents/accidents that happen on vehicles are properly reported to the insurance company if appropriate and to the COO.10.       Instruct staff under your supervision on PATH’s Code of Conduct as well as all laws and regulations that affect their work.11.       Schedule staff for training in a timely fashion so as to ensure trainings are completed within required timeframes.                                 12.       Assure effective operation of the Transportation Department by working cooperatively with Human Resources to recruit and fill vacancies in a timely manner; to conduct investigations in a timely manner; to make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions as necessary; to follow all Human Resources policies and procedures including approval of vacation, personal and sickleave, processing timesheets and ensuring accuracy; completing job performance evaluation forms in a timely manner; handling reference requests by referring to the HR Department.13.       Maintenance of all agency vehicles and monitoring of mileage usage for each vehicle.  Assure that all vehicles are properly registered and that vehicles contain the appropriate documentation for registration and insurance.  Assure daily maintenance check lists are completed for each vehicle.14.       Complete driving for AM and PM run for day program, if necessary.15.       Ensure mail pick-up from Frankford Avenue, Keystone Street, CRR, RTF, Marshall Street and CEP on a daily basis.  Mail pick-up from Post Office at least two times per week.16.       Plan, organize, and direct workloads of supervisees (part-time drivers).17.       Other related duties as assigned. 2.      QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with good driving record; at least three years driving experience and ability to drive 15 passenger van; some experience at scheduling and/or coordinating transportation services preferred.
