Job Title: Transportation Supervisor Company: Linde Location: Price, UT Description: Linde is currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor to join the team in Price, UT. The area of responsibility will include Price UT, Cheyenne WY, Cortez CO, Green River WY, and Nampa ID. Job Responsibilities:·         Manage assigned areas of SHEQ program, i.e. Safety meetings, Safety Talks, IMSS/IMS·         Manage driver and equipment resource availability in accordance with the daily schedule. Print and prepare all required driver documentation for daily dispatch.·         Supervise common carriers and 2 mechanics·         Manage execution and assist in planning of the daily schedule in times of major logistical upsets as directed by regional management (i.e. major outages, on-site shut downs, etc.)·         Manage driver's hours of service in accordance with Linde policies and Federal/State regulations. On a daily basis, present the distribution planners with up to date resource availability, reflecting all current data.·         Confirm completed trips and perform daily billing in the GOLD system·         Perform Transportation-related SAP transactions as required by established work procedures. ·         Provide after hours coverage for the location as required ·         Hire carriers and assist in recruitment and training for company drivers.·         Provide local oversight of carrier expectations, review and process carrier bills for accuracy and payment.·         Schedule equipment as needed with Mechanic in order to ensure PM programs are being met and cost to maintain equipment are under control.·         Complete required Maximo entries - fuel tax reporting, consumption, etc.·         Process accounts payable and accounts receivable activity at the location. Process Visa P-Card transactions at the location.·         Maintain location files – accounts payable, driver qualifications, etc.   Minimum Qualifications:·         Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and Hazmat regulations.·         Familiar with PM based maintenance programs.·         Strong degree of computer literacy.·         Familiarity with BOC Distribution systems a plus (Gold, XATA, NeXIS).·         Good communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, drivers and customers.·         High School Diploma or GED required.
