Compliance/Safety /Transportation Dispatcher A local transportation company is in need of an experienced person to do administrative functions related to dispatching. This position requires extensive knowledge of the trucking industry.This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years experience in warehouse and freight operations. Must have working knowledge of all SMCA and DOT regulations. Some of the duties include dispatch, audit of driver logs, HOS violations, driver records, locating back-hauls via use of website internet, as well as being the customer service contact for the dispatch office. The ability to supervise, direct and discipline drivers and owner/operators as required. This person may also work with the garage for expediting truck and trailer repairs, as well as trailer inventory daily. This candidate will report directly to the Transportation Director. Salary DOE.
