Job Title: Transportation Dispatcher - Albuquerque, NM Company: Rinchem Location: Albuquerque, NM Description: Rinchem is a fast-growing, international chemical management solutions provider servicing Fortune 500 customers within the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing industries.  We offer supply chain optimization and consulting solutions, coupled with the ability to implement those solutions as a lead logistics provider.  We own and operate specialized transportation and warehousing assets across the United States, as well as in Europe and the Middle East.  We offer a family-friendly corporate culture with excellent pay, benefits, 401K investment matching and a team environment.JOB TITLE:  TRANSPORTATION DISPATCHER Accountability:   Under the supervision of the Transportation Dispatch Manager, the Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the Over-The-Road transportation operations to ensure safe, cost-effective, and timely movement of hazardous and non-hazardous cargo, and promoting consistent compliance with DOT and all other regulations that are applicable. General Requirements of the Job: ·               Must be at least 21 years of age.·               Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. (A Bachelor’s Degree is desirable.)·               Must be computer literate.·               Must have knowledge and/or have the ability to learn DOT, EPA and other applicable federal and state regulations.·               Must possess a reasonable amount of abstract reasoning ability and creative problem solving in order to handle situations that require quick and balanced decision making.·               Must be available and willing to support OTR Drivers outside of traditional working hours.·               Must possess sufficient self discipline to complete projects in organized fashion and document follow up efforts.·               Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.·               Leadership skills that are essential to this position are: Resiliency, assertiveness, ability to balance risk without compromising rules and regulations while maintaining the ability to get along with others who may have diverse opinions.·               Must be able to sit for extended periods of time in an office      environment.·               Ability to communicate with outside vendors, customers, providers, other Rinchem employees which requires verbal, written communication skills.  Also requires the ability to establish a personal positive rapport with people.·               Ability to schedule, plan, prioritize, and set goals.·               Ability to write/type correspondence, memos, and reports.  Principal Duties: ·         Maintain familiarity with and abide by DOT and RCRA regulations pertaining to transportation operations.   ·         Schedule over the road trucks with hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and/or chemicals to meet timing requirements while operating profitably. ·         Provide for 24 hour on-call contact for drivers.   ·         Insure that all drivers stay compliant in training and other areas as needed. ·         As dispatcher you will be responsible for tracking all drivers in the company’s provided computer system. ·         Provide other support and accomplish other duties as requested by the Management. ·         All other duties as assigned.EOE
