Job Title: Dispatcher Needed Company: Location: Shreveport, LA Description: Rapidly growing and expanding transportation company seeks qualified candidates for a Dispatcher position for its Shreveport location. We recently landed a new contract in the area and need to add an one more experienced dispatcher. This position will also handle overflow calls from our Oklahoma and Pennsylvania locations. We need a highly positive and motivated individual that is willing to help our company grow. We are looking for a team player with a desire to stay with us long-term. This position offers a probability of promotion and benefits (including health insurance and 401K), depending on performance. The ideal candidate should possess the following: -2-5 years experience in dispatching over the road and local drivers -Must be familiar with the Arklatex 4 state region -Capable of running a high traffic (100+ calls/day) solo operation with no supervision -Requires Rotating Shifts- 24/7 Dispatch Center -Willing to work every third weekend -Strong computer skills, Truck Mate or SAP dispatching software experience a plus -Problem solving and strong attention to detail -Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment -Strong knowledge working with brokers -Ability to follow instructions and willingness to assume responsibility -Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus but not necessary
