The individual must be highly motivated and detail-oriented to ensure a quality operation that will provide premier customer service to our customer. Job Summary: The Transportation Lead Dispatcher will coordinate the timely outbound deliveries of product from our customer-s distribution center to their customers. The successful candidate will be required to establish and maintain daily dispatch schedules, coordinate with the warehouse operations when necessary and manage all inbound and outbound activities. The candidate must be knowledgeable in evaluating labor requirements, fleet resources, DOT regulations, delivery windows, and other parameters that are essential in making cost-effective decisions that support our service obligations to our customer. The Transportation Lead Dispatcher works in a team environment to achieve these performance goals. Experience and Requirements Three years experience in a fast-paced environment Experience managing others Experience with coaching and developing others Extensive transportation and dispatching knowledge Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Strong planning and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Able to work flexible schedules as business needs require in a 24/7 environment including weekends and holidays. Geographic knowledge of the Northeast and Metro - NY  area.
