Job Purpose: Repair and maintain heavy and meduim duty Kenworth and other brands of trucks Duties: * Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain customer trucks by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, engine and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics;Perform inspections, recommend repair. * Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. *Helps ensure customers vehicles conform to Federal Standards. * Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications. * Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Skills/Qualifications: Work replated experience, schooling a plus.

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Company: KANE Transport Location: Marshall, MN Description: Description Kane Transport,Inc. is seeking applications for full time diesel mechanics at its Marshall, MN terminal. This is a position with flexible start times. Mechanics perform A & B services on Peterbilt tractors. Brake jobs and tire repair/replacement. Electrical systems repair on tractors and trailers. This shop is not R rated - no welding performed. Requirements Applicant must have at least 1 year experience and their own tools. Applicants must have CDL license with tank & Haz Mat endorsements. The following skills are preferrable but not required: Caterpillar and/or Cummins engine experience Cargo Tank experience DOT inspector certified Haz-Mat trained & certified Applicant must be able to provide proof of past experience and/or schooling with an emphasis on diesel repair/maintenance.
