Load cages filled with luggage onto truck. Duties include, but are not limited to, meeting company and customer performance and grooming standards; ability to safely operate a box truck obeying all traffic laws; reporting status of daily operations to the supervisor and/or manager and completing daily truck sheets and vehicle inspections; operating headsets/radio to provide communication between dispatcher and supervisors; keeping vehicles, line equipment and ramp areas clean; assisting with base housekeeping as required; knowledge and compliance with all safety procedures including reporting incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor; performing other service functions as required; and the ability to comply with the location's attendance/tardiness standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and luggage tags; effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors including communicating over a radio; add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance; apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions; deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables; and occasionally lift and or move 200 pounds. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and required FAA and airport identification, seals, and authorizations.
